Today we are delighted to announce the appointment of David Bruce OBE as Hawkridge Distillers Ltd.’s Non Executive Chairman. David has been a close support of the business since its inception and has provided a great deal of inspiration in the fast growth of the business over the past 2 years.  David brings to us over 50 years of experience in the UK and global drinks market. Having founded several breweries and pub groups, including “Firkin Pubs” and more recently, “Maverick Pubs,” David is a very well respected and connected figure in our industry.  Among other executive positions, he is notably Chairman of The West Berkshire Brewery PLC with whom our business already enjoys a close working relationship.

We are thrilled that David has joined us and we are confident in the positive impact our work together will have on the future of Hawkridge Distillers.

Following his appointment, David says: “I am delighted and flattered to be invited by the three founders of Hawkridge Distillers to be appointed Non-Executive Chairman and also to join them as an investor.

The three founding Giniuses have created an incredible, entrepreneurial business from a standing start only three years ago.  Their various gins have already been awarded several top medals by the most prestigious judging panels in the world and the quality of their products is unrivalled.

As Chairman of The West Berkshire Brewery, I am delighted that Hawkridge Distillers produced for us a unique gin, Dragon Hill, which is “delicately hop infused”, using some of our mosaic hops from New Zealand.  This truly scrumptious gin has already won the Silver Medal in the World Gin Awards.Having been involved in the international drinks industry for the past 55 years, I can recognise a winner when I see one and I am hugely excited at the prospect of helping Hawkridge Distillers to maximize its true potential in the years to come”.
